While there’s no definitive scientific data on using CBD to treat dogs, there’s anecdotal evidence from dog owners suggesting it can treat pain, especially neuropathic pain, as well as helping to control seizures.

According to Dr. Jerry Klein, Chief Veterinary Officer of the American Kennel Club, CBD is also used because of its anti-inflammatory properties, cardiac benefits, anti-nausea effects, appetite stimulation, anti-anxiety impact, and for possible anti-cancer benefits, although there’s no conclusive data on this use.

CBD (cannabidiol) may promote the body's ability to reduce inflammation, pain, and anxiety. It may also stimulate appetite and limit nausea and vomiting.

Our CBD oil is available in three strengths:

  • 250mg/30 ml (0.42mg/drop) recommended for dogs under 40 lbs
  • 500mg/30 ml (0.83mg/drop) – recommended for dogs from 40 to 80 lbs
  • 1,000mg/30 ml (1.66mg/drop) – recommended for dogs over 80 lbs

Dosage: 0.33mg to 1.0mg/kg two times per day.

Example: For a 60 lb. (27.27 kg) dog and a 500 mg bottle of CBD oil use 8 to 20 drops two times per day 12 hours apart.

Start with the lowest dose to see how your dog responds. Allow two weeks to see an overall effect. Application under the tongue (sublingually) is the most effective method of administration. Or you may put in or on your dog’s food.
